Ashton-under-Lyne MP Angela Rayner will join Tameside's Mayor to support small businesses this Saturday.
Local businesses will be the focus of attention this Saturday as Angela joins Tameside Mayor, Councillor Vincent Ricci and local councillors on a town centre tour.
They will be visiting a homeware store, furniture supplier, jewellers, Goth shop and a lingerie stall to celebrate Small Business Saturday.
On the way they will meet festive characters, including No Eyed Theatre Reindeer, who will be handing out free goodie bags to shoppers.
They will be backing local businesses and encouraging people to shop locally at the event, which is sponsored by the Ladysmith Shopping Centre.
11am, Saturday December 5th, meeting at Family Statue, Fletcher Square, Ashton-under-Lyne - Angela Rayner MP and Tameside Mayor Cllr Vincent Ricci join Cllr Bill Fairfoull, Chair of the Ashton Town Team on a tour of local businesses to celebrate Small Business Saturday.
Angela said: “Ashton is a big draw for people, with a wide range of unique shops. As Christmas approaches it’s the ideal place to get something extra special as a gift.
“It’s great to meet local businesses like this to show our support for buying local.”
