Tories and Lib Dems combine to keep hated Bedroom Tax

THE Tories and Lib Dems voted today against scrapping the Bedroom Tax - yet again.

But as your Labour candidate, I'm not going to give up trying to get rid of it.

Labour has a record of opposition to the Bedroom Tax - 159,339 people have so far added their name to a petition against it.

I've signed it too - we're going to use the record to keep putting pressure on the government to finally scrap this cruel, unfair tax.

The more people on the record, the more pressure on the government - so can you add your name too? Click here to do it:

Time and time again we've tried to get this cruel law scrapped -- and every time the government has voted to keep it.

If one thing's clear, it's that the Tories and Lib Dems really, really like the Bedroom Tax.

But we are disgusted by it. This is a moral issue: the tax hits hardest at the most vulnerable, most of all children in poverty and people with disabilities.

So no matter how many times they vote to protect it, we will keep pushing the government to scrap the Bedroom Tax, keep forcing votes in Parliament, keep speaking up -- and keep building opposition to it.

Labour is the only Party committed to scrapping the Bedroom Tax in government.
